- The balls will be collected during the match, have their authenticity verified on Socios Collectibles.com, and be integrated with an NFC chip, allowing the owner of the ball to watch the goal anytime using their smartphone.
Socios.com, in collaboration with partners Lega Serie A, will use the EA Sports Supercoppa Italiana between AC Milan and Inter Milan in Riyadh on Wednesday (January 18th) to create a special opportunity for AC Milan and Inter Milan Fan Token holders to be rewarded.
As soon as a goal is scored, the ball will be taken by the referee who will hand it to a representative from Lega Serie A who will seal it, note the minute of the goal and the scorer and place it in a Socios.com branded display case. This moment will be caught on camera, before the ball, in its display case, is sent to Chiliz HQ, where it will be verified by the Socios Collectibles.com team and integrated with an NFC chip.
Socios Collectibles.com verifies sports memorabilia through the Chiliz Blockchain and uses embedded NFC (near-field communication) chips, allowing fans and collectors to immediately authenticate memorabilia using their smartphones. This means the owner of the ball will be able to watch the actual goal whenever they want.
The memorabilia will be exclusively redeemable to Inter and AC Milan Fan Token holders on Socios.com, and will form part of Socios Collectibles, the new hub for blockchain verified real-life collectibles on the app, powered by Socios Collectibles.com.
