UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 Overview

The UEFA Nations League will begin again in September 2024 as the Europe’s international clubs looks to build for the next World Cup.

Tournament Format and Structure

A mini-league format before going into a knockout phase, the Nations League is intended to bolster the international schedule with more meaningful games instead of friendlies.

Teams can move up and down into different leagues depending on their form meaning that results at international level have greater significance.

Key Dates and Fixtures

The first set of fixtures will get underway in September 2024 with the first games taking place on September 5 and the final group games occurring on November 19.

The finals for the Nations League take place on June 8, 2025.

Player and Team Profiles

All eyes will be on Group A and a number of high-profile fixtures are set to take place.

Portugal and Croatia is the standout game in A1 but looking at A2, Belgium, France, and Italy will all go at each other.

In League B, there looks set to be a heavyweight encounter between England and Ireland.
