In 2017, Stroll made his Formula 1 debut with the Williams Martini Racing team. He became the youngest pilot to achieve a podium finish in his first season by finishing third at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Stroll continued to drive for Williams until the end of the 2018 season.

For the 2019 season, Stroll joined the Racing Point F1 Team, which later became the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team. He has been racing for the team since then alongside his teammate Sebastian Vettel.
