Juventus Fixtures 2023-2024: A Comprehensive Guide to the Season’s Matches

The Old Lady is stirring. After three campaigns without a Serie A title, they have gotten the 2023/24 campaign off to a fast start.

It could prove to be a fascinating year at the top of the table, with Juventus, Inter Milan, defending champions Napoli, and AC Milan all making early-season claims for the title.

However, it is la Vecchia Signorana – the most successful team in Italian football history – who the bookmakers are making one of the favourites to add a 37th league title to their trophy cabinet.

Below, we examine their biggest games of the season, the key matchups, the fierce rivalries, and more!

Key Highlights and Matchups

When you are as successful as Juventus, you end up with many enemies, but one of their most pronounced rivalries is their battle with AC Milan.

The two clubs compete in the oldest-running and most-played Italian derby, having gone head-to-head since 1901. The two have participated in more than 175 matches in Serie A alone. At the time of writing, the Turin side are edging ahead in the head-to-head rivalry, winning 38.41% of the games played, with AC Milan winning 30.51%.

They have beaten I Rossoneri once already this season, coming out on top 1-0 back in October, and they face up again on the weekend of 28th April 2024, when there will be just five games left.

It looks set to be a season-defining clash!

Then you have Derby d’Italia – a long-running clash between Juventus and AC Milan’s city rivals Inter Milan. This feud peaked in the mid-to-late-nineties when both sides were operating at the very top of the game. The likes of (future Inter Milan boss) Antonio Conte, Didier Deschamps, Zinedine Zidane and Alessandro Del Piero were facing up against Javier Zanetti, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, and Andrea Pirlo, among others.

They aren’t always high-scoring classics, especially in recent times. Indeed, in the ten Serie A games before the 2023/24 season, there were two goals or less in eight, speaking to the tense nature of the fixture.

Both teams look set to be challenging at the top of the division this season and are due to clash on 26th November at the Allianz Stadium before facing off at the San Siro on the weekend of 4th February.

Serie A Campaign

While Juventus fixtures against fierce Milan rivals always dominate the football calendar, there are other games to look for throughout the campaign that could dictate whether Juventus add a 37th title to the trophy cabinet.

They still have to play against defending champions Napoli twice. Despite a tricky start to the campaign, they are a dangerous outfit with some exciting players, including Georgian wing wizard Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

They take on last year’s champions on 8th December at the Allianz Arena and on 3rd March at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

After tough games against AC Milan and Roma, Juventus FC fixtures get gentler, with their final three games coming against Salernitana, Bologna, and Monza. If they can be in with a shot at the title come the end of the campaign, they will fancy their chances of championship glory.

Home Matches

The Allianz Arena is one of the world’s most modern and intimidating stadiums. It was opened in 2011 and boasts some of the most advanced stadium technology in world sport.

A contemporary Turin masterpiece, the stands and the pitch stand in close proximity to one another. It helps the Bianconeri – the nickname for the Juventus fanbase – create a febrile and world-famous atmosphere.

They are a ferocious twelfth man across Juventus soccer matches home and away and have helped the team over the line on many occasions since the beginning of the last decade.

They will play an essential part between the 9th of March and the 6th of April 2024, when three of the four Juventus upcoming matches are played at the Allianz Arena.

Away Matches

The good news for Juventus? They have already ticked off some tough-looking away fixtures and got maximum points on the way, too.

With six points from tough-looking tasks against Fiorentina and AC Milan, some breathing space for Juventus next fixtures away at some challenging grounds, including the above-mentioned game away to prospective title challengers Inter Milan at the San Siro and Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

No team relishes a trip to the Stadio Olimpico and Roma, especially under the guise of serial winner Jose Mourinho. They have won just three of their last ten Serie A visits to the Italian capital – they will be looking to improve that win ratio when they play there on 24th May 2024.

European Competitions

Juventus regularly participates in one of the most prestigious competitions in world football – the UEFA Champions League. The Juventus football schedule in Europe’s premier event is on hiatus for the 2023/24 season, but they are hoping to be back with a bang next year.

An annual continental club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), it is contested by the top teams from various European leagues, with the winner being crowned as the best club in Europe.

Juventus has a long history of participating in the UEFA Champions League and has experienced both success and heartbreak. The club has won the tournament twice, in 1985 and 1996, and has been runner-up five times, most recently in 2017.
