Round of 16 schedule: 3rd – 6th December.
This is when the World Championships will explode into life. 1 match of 90 minutes to determine who will make the Quarter Finals, it’s make or break time and anything can happen in knock out football.
In the event of a draw at Full Time, two half of 15 minutes will be played as Extra Time. Of course, we all know what happens when nothing separates the sides after that: the dreaded but exciting penalty shootouts, which are never predictable and never easy. Heroes will be forged here and big applause should go round for each man who has the guts to step up and take a decisive penalty at the World Championship, no matter the outcome.
Finishing the group in top spot gives each team a better chance of making it, as they face a team finishing in second place, which is potentially a weaker side. It is, of course, never as black and white as that as giants have been felled in the past.
The Round of 16 starts on the 3rd of December with all matches taking place over a four day period, ending on the 6th December.
Date | Time (CET) | Venue |
3rd December 2022 | 16:00 | Khalifa International Stadium |
3rd December 2022 | 20:00 | Lusail Stadium |
4th December 2022 | 16:00 | Al Thumama Stadium |
4th December 2022 | 20:00 | Al Bayt Stadium |
5th December 2022 | 16:00 | Al Wakrah Sports Complex |
5th December 2022 | 20:00 | Stadium 974 |
6th December 2022 | 16:00 | Education City |
6th December 2022 | 20:00 | Lusail Stadium |
The Quarter Finals:

9th December 2022 | 16:00 | Education City Stadium |
9th December 2022 | 20:00 | Lusail Stadium |
10th December 2022 | 16:00 | Al Thumama Stadium |
10th December 2022 | 20:00 | Al Bayt Stadium |
After a little break in play, the Quarter Finals are on the 9th and 10th December. We’ll have two games per day, one at 16:00 CET and the other at 20:00 CET.
The final eight teams will be dreaming of hoisting the trophy, but will still have to overcome tough opponents. We’re expecting the big hitters to be in the Quarter Finals, so look out for the likes of Argentina, Brazil, the Netherlands, France, Portugal and a few more surprises.
This is where tears flow, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
The Semi Finals
Date | Time (CET) | Venue |
13th December 2022 | 20:00 | Lusail Stadium |

Two games to determine who will qualify for the World Championship final. The matches will be night kick offs, both at 20:00 CET on the 13th and 14th December. The Lusail Stadium and the Al Bayt Stadium have been hand-picked to host these intense matches, and we already can’t wait for kick off!
Third place play off
Date | Time (CET) | Venue |
17th December 2022 | 16:00 | Khalifa International Stadium |
We’ll have one game before we can all gather for the Final, and the third-place playoff, traditionally quite a high-scoring game, is always worth watching.

The World Championship 2022 Final
Date | Time (CET) | Venue |
18th December 2022 | 16:00 | Lusail Stadium |
All the eyes of the world will be on the gorgeous Lusail Stadium at 16:00 on the 18th of December 2022 for the final of the 2022 World Championship.
It is impossible to pick a winner from now. The finalists will merit their spot in this all-conquering, winner takes all game. Messi needs the World Championship, Ronaldo craves it, Brazil tends to dominate, and there might just be a surprise package that makes it all the way too.
We’re backing Argentina and Portugal to shine and our $ARG and $POR Fan Token holders can impact their team as they look to take over the world!
